FPV flying is an indescribable feeling? Often, Flying makes me feel uplifted, happy, like I’m floating on air.
I’ve always loved A-Ha’s song 🎶 “Take On Me” from the nostalgic 80’s. This is a quick flight using my DJI’s FPV Drone. Choreography and video edits were inspired to pay tribute to such an amazing song.
The anniversary of Chris Cornell’s passing is coming soon this May 18th. It was a date that lays heavy on my heart for such a young and talented tortured soul, whose unique voice and vocal range could penetrate the deepest of emotions.

FPV drones may be banned in the future. The thought of this inspired my cinematic video, attempting to capture the emotional essence of flying a drone. Please help keep this hobby alive!!!

Music runs in my blood so I came up with an idea to utilize my flying skills towards a style of interpretive dance. I hope that is apparent in this video.
Iridescence - is the phenomenon of certain surfaces that appear to gradually change color as the angle of view or the angle of illumination changes.

After working a full day, my wife and I decided to take a car ride to our local county park. Here in Michigan, with our current Covid-19 stay at home order, we are allowed to spend time in local parks as long as people maintain our set social distancing guidelines.
“My First Lightning Shot” So like many of us, besides working, it can be terribly mundane with the madness of staying home for this long. I received an alert that a major storm with gusts of up to 70 mph winds were headed in my direction. Did a quick google search for tips capturing such phenomena. Hopefully, next time will be better but I shot 720p video at 120 frames per second. Most of the lightning storm was in the clouds but it did capture this fantastic bolt. It was not raining by me and I kept my drone at a lower altitude and it had no problems with the wind from this distance. After 20 minutes I landed and 10 minutes later the storm hit our home full force with an amazing thunderstorm, hail, rain, and high winds. Glad I landed when I did. Anyways, it’s always fun to pass the time learning new things and techniques. Stay safe everyone!! 🐼✌️⚡️#firsttime #lightningbolt #dronephotography #dronehour #dronecapture #droneoftheday #dronepilot #dronepals #naturelovers #naturephotography #lightningstrike #rightplacerighttime #lucky #stayathome #learningeveryday #contentcreator #blogger #artistsoninstagram #michigander #mymavicpro
Decided to try my go at some video shooting a few weekends ago. The weather was overcast, cold, and less than ideal for stunning photo shots.
Despite all of that, I decided to see if I could catch anything that caught my creative eye. I did find a lovely place to shoot and it started snowing just as I was setting up. Normally, I don’t like to fly in the snow for safety reasons, but the area was clear and safe.
I was really pleased with the final edit from this little adventure. This video clip is a good reminder for me that even in the darkest of days, if our minds are open and our hearts are centered, we can still find beauty to enjoy and share.
Hope Everyone Is Having A GREAT WEEK!
More snow here today...
Take care 🐼😊👍✌️
After a whole week with no sunshine, I finally saw a break in the clouds and drove as fast as I could "legally" to Newburgh Lake in Livonia Michigan. The park was empty as it was very cold.
I was flying and saw this beautiful swan. I never want to disrupt nature when I fly, but become part of it. Oddly enough it seems like ducks, swans, and geese, do not seem to be bothered with my quadcopter.
This video is with a custom built 5 inch quadcopter I built myself. It incorporates the newest DJI FPV System. I am planning to post a review of this system as I test it a bit more, but so far I have been blown away with it's performance.
My confidence level as a pilot has increased 100%. It uses a digital signal rather than the traditional analog video feed that gets sent from the drone's camera to the goggles I wear when I fly. It's like going from watching a worn VHS tape with static and lines to watching a DVD. I will still use analog as it has it's benefits, but I think I am hooked on this new system.
Enjoy this video and everyone have a great week.
