"I see the turning of a leaf dancing in an autumn sun, and brilliant shades of crimson glowing when the day is done." - Hazelmarie Mattie Elliott
Higgins Lake is one of Michigan’s top rated lakes with crystal clear, sapphire fresh water.
Photo from my last adventure in Northern Michigan. The fall colors were just beginning to sprout. I am hoping to get back there in a few weeks if I can get the time off work. I am sure it will look amazing.

So much nature and beauty in Northern Michigan! It’s easy to find yourself in the middle of NoWhere!
Quick review regarding the Iflight 2 inch, DC2 HD microquadcopter in action weighing in less than 250 grams.
After working a full day, my wife and I decided to take a car ride to our local county park. Here in Michigan, with our current Covid-19 stay at home order, we are allowed to spend time in local parks as long as people maintain our set social distancing guidelines.
Decided to try my go at some video shooting a few weekends ago. The weather was overcast, cold, and less than ideal for stunning photo shots.
Despite all of that, I decided to see if I could catch anything that caught my creative eye. I did find a lovely place to shoot and it started snowing just as I was setting up. Normally, I don’t like to fly in the snow for safety reasons, but the area was clear and safe.
I was really pleased with the final edit from this little adventure. This video clip is a good reminder for me that even in the darkest of days, if our minds are open and our hearts are centered, we can still find beauty to enjoy and share.
Hope Everyone Is Having A GREAT WEEK!
More snow here today...
Take care 🐼😊👍✌️
After a whole week with no sunshine, I finally saw a break in the clouds and drove as fast as I could "legally" to Newburgh Lake in Livonia Michigan. The park was empty as it was very cold.
I was flying and saw this beautiful swan. I never want to disrupt nature when I fly, but become part of it. Oddly enough it seems like ducks, swans, and geese, do not seem to be bothered with my quadcopter.
This video is with a custom built 5 inch quadcopter I built myself. It incorporates the newest DJI FPV System. I am planning to post a review of this system as I test it a bit more, but so far I have been blown away with it's performance.
My confidence level as a pilot has increased 100%. It uses a digital signal rather than the traditional analog video feed that gets sent from the drone's camera to the goggles I wear when I fly. It's like going from watching a worn VHS tape with static and lines to watching a DVD. I will still use analog as it has it's benefits, but I think I am hooked on this new system.
Enjoy this video and everyone have a great week.
Enjoying my Birthmas present 🎁.

I apologize for not visiting my favorites blogs and posting much this month. I've been super busy at my real job and battling a bad cold 🥶. Probably from taking too many pictures like this 😂.
Hope to visit you all soon and have a blessed week !

Video Highlights and Photos
Video and photo shoot from a local cemetery.
As a child, my brother and I were fascinated by this graveyard. It was built in the 1800s and is a Catholic Jesuit Cemetery. A few of the graves carry the remains of Civil War soldiers. The crypt is located on a hill and houses a famous Jesuit priest buried beneath the floor.
I was fascinated when I flew over the crypt and saw the unusual letters "AMDG".
One of my smart historical colleagues let me know that the markings represented a famous Latin Jesuit Saying:
Ad Majored Dei Gloria: "For the Greater Glory of God"
May everyone rest in piece 🐼

It's a comforting thought to know how powerful nature's brilliance can bring a variety of people together even if only for a moment.
