We had quite a snow storm last week here in Michigan. This is something Michiganders easily become numb to over the years. When spring arrives, it can be 80 degrees Fahrenheit one day and below zero the next. We never know what jacket to bring to the party.
I grabbed my camera and took a few snaps of the ice forming on the flowers and trees blooming in my yard.
Reflecting on the photos helped inspire this short artistic film. I was drawn to a variety of feelings and ideas related to transformation, human collective consciousness, life, death, rebirth, and the universal relationships between humans, nature, climate change, and technology.

And when you smile, I surrender my heart like the succumbing leaves of autumn.

This Independence Weekend!
We all have a special something inside of us. People of different cultures and religious backgrounds have a number of names for this. It is an unseen, mysterious energy that all life has. Some call it Chi, or one’s life force.
I love and miss my wife! With both of our jobs, working as first responders of one type or another with the Covid-19 crisis, our schedules changed so we don’t have a single day off together anymore. This month will mark almost 25 years of friendship. Times like this really make you dig deep inside, but it is the love you share with a special someone that makes it all worth something! Take care everyone 🐼✌️🤙
This simple visual distortion kind of represents for me the number of feelings my mind is processing during these pandemic days of isolation.
Only in great darkness can we see the light.
Keeping an active mind, blogging, channeling negative energy into other positive creative outlets and maintaining a self-care routine are the ways I have learned work best for me to keep my light shining.
I have included an example of the artwork in which I have channeled some of the negative emotions into something I enjoy. I hope you enjoy this as well.
What are some of your favorite coping strategies during difficult times?
Feel free to express and share in the comments.
Want to unwind, with a color that's so calming and youthful—pink lemonade may be what you need right now. 😊
Inspired by the song, "Pink Lemonade", written and performed by the talented James Bay.
I love to remix music to create and inspire different feelings almost as much as I love to create artistic visual drone art.
This one was fun for me and I hope someone else enjoys it as well.
Enjoy some fresh Pink Lemonade on the house. 🙌🐼🙌😎😋
It's been really cold and dreary here in Michigan as of late.
The weather inspired and helped release my suppressed nostalgic 90s flannel wearing sweater grunge rooted vibes. 😆
This flight and music mix is a tribute to on of my favorite bands from that period.
“Stars, hide your fires; Let not light see my black and deep desires.” -
I love sunny weather, but autumn and winter nights somehow ignite my internal romantic flame 🔥.
There is something beautiful about sharing a warm embrace on the darkest of nights.
Simple late night adventures in the city become magical if you find that special someone.
May everyone's days be bright and everyone's nights be filled with love in your heart.
