Have you ever heard of Inktober?
I have to admit, since I’m still pretty new to the social media arena, I had no clue what it was until a few days ago.
Thanks to my Instagram account and seeing a number of fantastic works of art with the #inktober hashtag, I quickly wanted to learn more.
It’s a simple challenge that was started back in 2009 by an artist, named Jake Parker who also is known as Agent 44.
Inktober is an annual celebration of drawing with thousands of participants joining and connecting all across the globe.
I enjoy the simplicity of the challenge and the fact that anyone can participate. All you need is a pen and paper.
The Rules are as follows:
1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).
2) Post it online
3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2018
4) Repeat
Note: you can do it daily, or go the half-marathon route and post every other day, or just do the 5K and post once a week. What ever you decide, just be consistent with it. Inktober is about growing and improving and forming positive habits, so the more you’re consistent the better.
