A number of companies are competing and laying the groundwork to lead us into an era where drone deliveries become commonplace.  Companies are aware of the profits to be gained in this new industry and are funding projects like Project Wing,which are collaborating with communities and sponsors to fine tune delivery drone technologies and systems.  Delivery drones could be an important leap with endless potential.  Examples of their importance range from providing essential supplies and equipment to emergency responders working in remote areas, to having that birthday package delivered at just the right time to a loved one.  There are many challenges ahead to perfect this delivery system, but as society becomes more accepting of drones, it will not be long before we all start getting our favorite pizza delivered to our front door by a drone.
